I met Lori through a happy coincidence and thank goodness I did. She turned out to be an absolute God send in our hunt for a vacation home in Palm Springs. There are many important things about Lori but the two that stood out for me were, firstly, that she actually listened to what I was telling her and didn't try and show me properties that I didn't want, and secondly that she was totally honest and up front about the properties we did look at. In this economy there are a lot of variables in the housing market and she has carefully researched each avenue and always had the right answers to each of our questions. And then on top of that, after we found the absolutely perfect property, she made the possibly complicated process of we Canadians buying a house outside of our country virtually seemless. Our home search was off to a great start when we decided to work with Lori. Just having moved to the area, we took a chance with a realtor that we found through an online search. We soon found out that the chance we took was one of the best decisions. Lori was armed with a long list of properties for to see. She took into considerations all of our concerns (budget, growing family, visiting extended family, move in ready, nice community). After finding our home and going under contract, Lori was still hard at work for us. She helped us line up the deal with our lenders and was following up with escrow so we closed both the loan and escrow with such an amazing speed. After hearing about the horrors and frustrations from other homebuyers, we were stroring up our patience. In the end, we did not need it, we had Lori on our side.
PS: she also had a list for after the home buying: painters, handymans, cable company, water company, power company and the best book of coupons ever! She's the best!
